About Us

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a global Adventist community of nearly 15.5 million members in 204 countries. Throughout the UK there are 241 churches and within Luton we are one of three local churches. The Luton Central Seventh-day Adventist Church has been active within the local community since 1965.

Seventh-day Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons--the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.

When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counsellor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.

Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything--the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us--is a part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.

When everything may be falling apart, when you feel totally alone, Jesus is right there in the centre of it all, offering personal peace and hope. When you allow Him into your life, he immediately begins "remodelling" who you are and how you live.

God loves us even when we choose to reject His love. He allows us to walk away into the life of our own choices. Yet He is still there, always ready to help us rebuild our lives after the results of our decisions.

In the heart of God is a place you can experience as home. God loves you, and wants to spend time with you personally, one on one, as two close friends.  Because you and God are friends, you will spend time together as friends do. Each morning you'll share a hello and a hug and discuss how you can face the day's events together. Throughout the day you'll talk with Him about how you feel.

Our Vision as a church is “to be a congregation centered in giving glory to God for His amazing gift revealed in the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Our Aim is to share with our community the hope, peace and love we are finding in a relationship with Jesus Christ. We want our church to be a place where people from all walks of life and at all points on their spiritual journey can get to know God in a deeper way.
